Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Welder role based in Sterling Heights, MI. The Welder will be responsible for interpreting technical specifications, assembling and welding metal components, and ensuring that all work meets quality and safety standards. Daily tasks include operating welding equipment such as MIG and TIG welders, performing materials preparation, inspecting dimensions for accuracy and cleaning spatter
Qualifications
- Proficiency in GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding
- Extensive experience in Welding of Mild Steel, (Aluminum )
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Attention to detail with strong manual dexterity
- Ability to fit and build parts using 1 2 3 blocks, combo square, clamps, height gage, fixtures
- Experience using WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) or willingness to learn
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment preferred
- Own your own rolling tool box with pneumatic/fabrication tools.
- High school diploma or GED; vocational training or certification in welding is a plus
