Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Process cash and card transactions smoothly while handling cash handling responsibilities responsibly
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure seamless service
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage guest seating and reservations effectively
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, and menu items to elevate the dining experience
- Foster positive guest relations through excellent customer service and attentive communication
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably in fine dining or hospitality settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such is highly desirable
- Culinary experience or food industry background a plus; familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards required
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Demonstrated ability in sales techniques including upselling beverages, cocktails, and menu items
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest satisfaction
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Strong communication skills along with a team-oriented mindset to support colleagues and ensure smooth operations
