What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC & Appliance Service Technician position at Fuse HVAC & Appliance Repair Monterey?
Fuse HVAC & Appliance Repair is hiring an experienced HVAC & Appliance Service Technician to serve residential and commercial customers throughout Monterey County.
We have a steady flow of HVAC, appliance, refrigeration repair, maintenance, and installation leads, with the potential for up to 6 jobs per day, 5–6 days per week.
Requirements
- Proven experience servicing and repairing residential HVAC systems and major household appliances.
- Strong refrigeration knowledge, including diagnosing cooling, airflow, electrical, defrost, compressor, and control-system issues.
- Sealed-system repair experience is required, including refrigerant recovery, evacuation, leak detection, brazing, charging, filter-drier replacement, and compressor replacement.
- Ability to service refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, wine coolers, and other refrigeration equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, ductless mini-splits, and related HVAC equipment.
- EPA Section 608 Certification required or preferred, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, professional appearance, and strong customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently, communicate repair recommendations clearly, and document completed jobs.
