Fusco Personnel is actively recruiting for a Paralegal to join our well-respected client in the Capital Region area. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity to join a well-respected organization!
The ideal candidate will support their attorneys by performing a variety of tasks including legal research, document preparation, case management, and administrative duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in the preparation and management of cases, including drafting and organizing legal documents, pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, and responses.
- Review, organize, and analyze case files, discovery documents, and evidence.
- Assist with document production in compliance with court orders, client requests, and deadlines.
- Assist with the preparation and response to discovery requests, track and manage discovery deadlines and responses.
- Prepare and electronically file legal documents with local, state, and federal courts.
- Assist with trial and arbitration hearing preparation, including the preparation of exhibits, witness lists, and binders.
- Serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and third parties.
- Maintain case files, update case management systems, and track deadlines.
- Assist with billing, timekeeping, and file organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field (bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Paralegal certification is preferred
- 2 years of experience as a paralegal or in a legal support role
- Experience as practicing paralegal in litigation is preferred
- Familiarity with Westlaw, Westlaw Edge, and Aderant (preferred)
Pay Range:
$30.00-$38.00/hour (based on experience)
