Material Handler – 2nd Shift
Excellent Furst-to-Hire opportunity for a Material Handler to work on the 2nd shift at a leading Rockford steel company that has been in business in our community for over 80 years. The Material Handler is responsible for moving steel to staging areas manually and with a handheld overhead crane. The Material Handler position provides a lot of overtime – a great way to make extra money! The ideal candidate must be able to work mandatory overtime when needed.
Hours: 3:30pm until the work is done Monday-Friday with mandatory overtime
Pay: $17/hour, with shift differential once hired in

Material Handler Duties:
- Operate overhead crane and mobile cranes
- Machine operation
- Move steel to staging areas manually and with a crane
- Load and unload trucks or railroad cars
Material Handler Skills:
- 1-3 years forklift experience
- Experience operating machines
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to follow directions
- Demonstrate ability to work safely and efficiently
- Must be willing to work required overtime
