Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Customer Service
- Greet customers promptly and assist with product selections.
- Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and daily specials.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Food Preparation
- Slice meats and cheeses to order using deli equipment.
- Prepare salads, sandwiches, platters, and hot/cold deli items.
- Package, weigh, and label products for customers and display cases.
- Merchandising & Display
- Stock deli cases with fresh products, ensuring attractive presentation.
- Rotate inventory following FIFO guidelines
- Food Safety & Sanitation
- Follow all health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils.
- Properly handle food to prevent cross-contamination.
- Position requires bending, standing, and walking during shift.
- Comfortable working in hot and busy kitchen conditions.
- Comfortable with walk – in cooler and freezer
- Comfortable with the handling of Sharp Knives and other commercial kitchen equipment
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Education and Experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knife and food prep skills preferred
- Comfortable operating slicers and deli equipment (training provided)
- Ability to lift 25–40 lbs and stand for extended periods
