Job Purpose
The Quality Assurance Associate ensures that all merchandise moving through Furnitureland South meets company standards for quality, accuracy, and presentation. This role supports showroom operations, sold-product processing, e-commerce merchandising, and inventory integrity while working cross-departmentally to identify issues and maintain a best-in-class client and showroom experience.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Inspect outbound transfers of merchandise to showrooms for accuracy, quality, and presentation standards.
- Inspect outbound sold products prior to delivery to clients, identifying damages, defects, or discrepancies.
- Communicate identified issues to appropriate departments for timely resolution.
- Inspect products for e-commerce listings and sales to confirm accuracy and condition.
- Communicate detailed product condition notes for finalization of e-commerce sales.
- Investigate missing inventory and cross-tags.
- Conduct audits of inventory to verify accuracy and confirm sellable goods.
- Coordinate product pulls for special projects such as vendor collaborations.
- Communicate all relevant returns information to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 or more years of related experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally across departments.
- Ability to identify finishes, fabrics, and basic construction characteristics.
- Strong merchandising awareness and attention to product presentation.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in product evaluation and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Proficiency with Furnitureland South operating systems, including: Current WMS (Legacy), NetSuite, Zendesk, and WMS in development.
- Detailed knowledge of furniture manufacturers and quality standards across a broad range of vendor price points.
Working Conditions
This job is an onsite position that operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool, as necessary.
