Furnitureland South is looking for a Accounting Intern.
The ideal intern would be an Accounting major allowing the opportunity to gain hands on/ corporate accounting experience with the ability to work on challenging, meaningful projects with guidance from a mentor and other members of our team.

Essential Functions and responsibilities

- Gain an understanding of dynamics of general accounting functions within a corporate environment.
- Gain hands-on experience of AR and AP processes.
- Have hands on interaction with other departments for the purpose of retrieving and/or giving information regarding customer accounts.
- Gain experience in identify discrepancies and update system in acknowledgement process.
- Assist with status update information for vendors and customers.
- Assists in the accounting department distribution of mail, identifying invoices, purchase orders, and additional correspondents that relates to the various accounting functions.
Required Education and Experience
Must be enrolled in a four-year college/university or an individual enrolled in a two-year college with at least one year of relevant work experience. Must be strong computer and Microsoft Office user.
Working conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.
