Job Title: Account Executive

Job Summary:
As an Account Executive at Furniture Plus Design, you will be responsible for generating and achieving annual revenue goals through successful prospecting of clients in the commercial furniture industry. You will help to identify client needs, curate tailored solutions, and facilitate the project vision. The Account Executive ensures client satisfaction throughout the full sales cycle – from initial contact to the final walk through while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. You are an integral part of our client-facing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development: Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and converting prospects into clients through a variety of avenues to incrementally grow business.
- Client Relationship Management: Nurturing and cultivating relationships with existing and potential clients while managing their expectations throughout the full sales cycle to ensure positive experience.
- Cross-Sectional Team Collaboration: Working closely and well with willingness to support internal and/or client hired design, project management, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
- Detail-Orientation: Maintaining a keen eye for detail throughout all aspects of the project. Strong organizational skills are necessary to the overall management of the project sales cycle.
- Time Management: Balancing time effectively and efficiently while understanding the need to achieve deadlines and project goals to assure client satisfaction.
- Adaptability: Remaining flexible to anticipate potential challenges and changes to accommodate the needs of the client.
- Problem Solving: Taking initiative to proactively seek optimal solutions while managing diversity with professionalism when faced with challenges.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Highly motivated and driven to succeed with strong work ethic
- Possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills throughout all levels of an organization
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and office equipment (i.e. printer)
- Flexibility to work varied full-time hours including nights and weekends based on client needs/project deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- College degree
- Minimum of 1-2 years of direct sales experience or with a sales driven related position
- Knowledge of our commercial office furniture brands, design principles, and space planning abilities
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer and using the telephone in an office environment.
- Ability to travel to various client settings (i.e. indoor, outdoor) throughout the island and at times, inter-island.
- Often required to stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch while using basic measuring equipment. At times, may need to reach and climb.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds at a time.
