Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Furniture Operations Technician to join our busy team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and off-loading furniture deliveries and inspection of pieces for quality control, placement of furniture on showroom floor, light assembly and repairs when necessary, and general light maintenance duties around the building.
Duties
- Assemble furniture components using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct heavy lifting safely when handling large or bulky furniture during assembly or repair processes. Must be able to move furniture with weights in excess of 250 lbs. using hand trucks and other unmotorized moving equipment
- Maintain quality standards through inspection, and identifying areas for repair or improvement
- Work with all staff to create attractive furniture groupings throughout showroom
Experience
- Prior furniture assembly experience preferred
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper safety precautions
- Experience in repairing or maintaining upholstered furniture or similar items in a manufacturing or restoration setting
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship in all aspects of assembly and repair
