Delivery/Warehousing/Operations Manager

Furniture Connection Hawaii & Maui Bed Store - an established wholesale furniture & mattress supplier serving all of the Hawaiian Islands - is currently hiring for the position of Warehousing/Delivery/Operations Manager based out of our Wailuku warehouse.

The position of Warehousing/Delivery/Operations Manager is effectively responsible for all aspects of the business related to warehousing, deliveries, fulfillment, receiving, customer service and training as we expand. This individual must posses strong leadership skills, be a self starter, analytical thinker, be physically fit and capable of adapting quickly. Most importantly, they must be detail oriented and thrive in an independent / non micro-management environment. If you can read a playbook that's great - but If you can make a playbook and follow it, even better. Must have an open schedule during weekdays (rare Saturday) and be available to start immediately. Candidates that show potential, desire and competency will have an opportunity to be trained in sales and could be eligible for salary employment that includes a pay increase. Only applicants currently residing on Maui will be considered due to immediate start date. Past warehouse, delivery driver and/or customer service experience is a plus. Willing to train a motivated individual with a clean driving record, most importantly a self-starter.

Responsibilities:

• Delivery/assembly/disposal of furniture and mattresses
• Manage warehousing/delivery/receiving operations
• Manage and lead team members
• Create efficient warehouse and delivery procedures
• Warehousing (organization, inventory management etc)
• Inventory receiving and processing
• Customer Service
• Maintains fleet of delivery vehicles, fuel, tools etc...

Requirements:

• Must have an open schedule during weekdays (shifts during typical week are Monday - Friday between 8/8:30am to 3/4pm)
• Capable of lifting/loading/delivering/assembling heavy furniture and mattresses, in excellent physical shape
• Ability to use hand tools
• Presently residing on Maui
• Clean Driving Abstract
• Detail oriented and goal driven
• Be organized and a self-starter
• Be a team player with a positive attitude

Pay and Benefits:

• Paid training period

• Quarterly/Yearly Bonus Pay based on individual and company-wide goals
• Starting pay is $28.50 - $36.00 hourly (depending on experience) tips
