Junior / Mid-Level Service Technician – Fired Equipment
Since 1981, Furnace and Tube Service, Inc. (FTS) and Thermal Process Solutions (TPS) have provided repairs, rebuilds, upgrades, inspections, troubleshooting, and turnaround services for industrial fired equipment across the Gulf Coast region.
We service boilers, furnaces, heaters, ovens, burners, and related systems within the chemical, petrochemical, power generation, wood products, and paper industries.
We are currently seeking a Junior / Mid-Level Service Technician to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in industrial fired equipment service and combustion systems. Responsibilities
- Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial fired equipment, including mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical systems
- Support burner inspections, combustion tuning, and diagnostics
- Perform routine maintenance and annual inspections
- Help document repairs, parts, and service reports
- Assist with materials coordination and job preparation
- Work alongside senior technicians on field service projects
Qualifications
- 2 years of industrial or mechanical experience required
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge, including experience with boilers, burners, furnaces, heaters, or related equipment preferred
- Strong willingness to learn and grow within the industry
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel both locally and out of town, including overnight stays (typically 1–3 nights)
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Valid TWIC Card required or ability to obtain one quickly
- OSHA Basic Safety Training preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings
- Strong reading, writing, and basic math skills
