Summary: The Depalletizer Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently unstacking, organizing, and preparing cans for labeling for distribution. This role ensures that cans are correctly aligned, labeled, and unstacked according to company standards and quality requirements. The Depalletizer Operator works closely with the Labeler and Adjuster and other warehouse staff to maintain a smooth product flow, minimize downtime, and support a clean, organized work environment. Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
Education: High school diploma or GED required; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience / Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing with machine operation environment preferred.
Prior experience operating automated or semi-automated machinery is highly desirable.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and troubleshoot basic machine operations.
Ability to read and follow work orders, safety procedures, and instructions.
Basic math and counting skills; able to maintain accurate records if required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Food safety is the responsibility of every employee. Any issues should be brought to the immediate attention of area supervisor of manager.
Evaluate each pallet for its quality for running the pallet through the line efficiently
Operate depal efficiently to maintain a continual non-interrupted flow of product.
Final removal of stretch wrap
Sort and decide placement of rejected cans online
Scan MU bar code to verify and compare can code & pallet tag are identical, prior to
labeling process.
- Respond quickly to line shutdowns and lend assistance to help to return the line to
operation.
Calculate the correct number of pallets, layers, & cans required for each work order.
Workable knowledge of other equipment on label lines.
Maintain a clean work environment throughout shift.
Maintain a positive teamwork atmosphere by actions, communicating and helping co-
workers.
Any other jobs may be assigned by your supervisor or line leader.
Effective cross-departmental communication.

Work Schedule:

This position typically follows the hours of the shift scheduled to work; however, working days may vary based on season. Typically, Monday through Friday. Very often Saturday. 12 hours Shifts may be required during busy times.
