Job Summary:
The Enterprise Systems Analyst supports the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise systems across the university. This role is ideal for individuals who are technically inclined, detail-oriented, and passionate about improving institutional processes through technology in a higher education environment.
Working closely with IT staff, academic departments, and administrative offices, the analyst ensures that university-wide systems function effectively, reliably, and meet the evolving needs of stakeholders.

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the configuration, testing, and deployment of new enterprise applications.
- Support and maintain existing enterprise applications (e.g., DocuSign, Starfish, Eventbrite).
- Document system processes, technical specifications, and user procedures.
- Troubleshoot user issues, escalate complex technical problems, and log resolutions.
- Provide end-user support and basic training for supported applications.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and support integration and security configuration between Furman systems and external solutions.
- Contribute to data integrity efforts by generating reports, performing audits, and cleaning data as needed.
- Monitor application performance and report anomalies or system errors to senior staff.
- Stay current on trends, updates, and best practices relevant to assigned duties and technologies.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Basic understanding of enterprise systems and databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and responsibilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service mindset
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to a diverse and inclusive team environment
Preferred:
- Experience in a higher education setting (e.g., student worker, intern, or employee)
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, change management, and IT support workflows
- Exposure to data integration concepts, APIs, or system-to-system data exchange
- Understanding of data privacy and security in enterprise environments
Work Conditions:
- Full-time position, with occasional after-hours and on-call responsibilities as needed.
- Work is primarily performed in an office setting, involving prolonged periods at a desk using a computer.
- Role may involve frequent interruptions, multiple simultaneous tasks, and adherence to deadlines.
Relationships:
- Serves as a member of the Enterprise Information Systems team, which supports services and systems of record at Furman University including Workday, internal and external websites, database systems, and other major applications.
- Frequently collaborates with stakeholders across the university to plan, coordinate, resolve issues, and present solutions.
