Duties
- Supervise and engage dogs during playtime, ensuring a safe and positive experience for all pets
- Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization skills
- Handle dogs using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during interactions and grooming
- Monitor dog health and behavior, noting any signs of distress or illness, and communicate with veterinary professionals as needed
- Perform pet grooming tasks such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming to maintain cleanliness and comfort
- Provide excellent customer service by updating pet owners on their pets’ activities and well-being throughout the day
Requirements
- Prior experience in dog handling, kennel work, or animal care is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a plus
- Experience with pet grooming, pet sitting, or veterinary assistant roles is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with larger dogs
- Strong animal handling skills combined with patience, compassion, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods while maintaining high energy levels
