About the Position:
Fur de Lis Pet Care, LLC is hiring dependable, compassionate individuals to join our team as part-time Overnight Pet Sitters!
You'll provide professional in-home pet care while clients are away, ensuring their pets receive companionship, attentive supervision, and consistent care in the familiarity of their own homes.
This is a part-time, variable-schedule position. Minimum hours and shifts are NOT guaranteed. The number and frequency of assignments depend entirely on client bookings and demand. This position is best suited for someone seeking supplemental income rather than guaranteed weekly hours.
Types of Assignments
- Overnight Stays (9 PM–7 AM): Provide evening and morning care, companionship, and overnight supervision in clients' homes.
- Live-In Stays (24-Hour Assignments): Stay in a client's home for one or more 24-hour periods, with two scheduled 2-hour breaks per day. Each 24-hour assignment includes 20 paid hours.
What You'll Do
- Follow detailed pet care instructions and maintain pets' normal routines.
- Provide meals, fresh water, medications, and bathroom breaks.
- Offer companionship, supervision, and attentive care throughout each stay.
- Monitor pets for signs of illness, distress, or unusual behavior.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and respect clients' homes and privacy.
- Communicate professionally and provide updates as required.
You'll work independently in clients' homes and must remain on-site during scheduled care hours, except for authorized breaks. Visitors, children, and personal pets are not permitted during assignments.

Position Requirements
- Must reside in our service area: Mandeville, Covington, Madisonville, Abita Springs, or Lacombe, Louisiana.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Have reliable transportation and a smartphone.
- Weekend and holiday availability is required.
- Be willing and able to stay overnight in clients' homes.
- Demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and professional communication.
- Be able to pass a background check.
Please note: This is a part-time position with no guaranteed minimum hours or number of shifts. Scheduling varies based on client needs, including weekends and holidays.
Compensation:
- Overnight Stays: Starting at $100 per shift (9 PM–7 AM).
- Live-In Stays: Starting at $200 per 24-hour assignment (20 paid hours, with two 2-hour breaks).
