Dental Hygienist – Full-Time

Monday–Thursday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

We are seeking a Full-Time Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental team in Fuquay-Varina, NC. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive, patient-focused environment with a strong emphasis on quality care and teamwork.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent preventive dental care and patient education. Both experienced hygienists and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing thorough dental cleanings and preventive care
  • Taking and reviewing dental X-rays
  • Performing periodontal assessments and charting
  • Educating patients on oral hygiene and at-home care
  • Collaborating with dentists and clinical team members to ensure high-quality patient care

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current dental hygienist license in NC and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification


Preferred Experience

  • 1-2 years of clinical experience
  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by office


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
  • As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
