Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive art lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating diverse mediums and techniques.
- Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages experimentation, self-expression, and critical thinking.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies and clear expectations.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Support students with special educational needs by adapting lessons to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Organize exhibitions or displays of student artwork to celebrate their accomplishments and boost confidence.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Experience working with children in educational or extracurricular settings, including early childhood education or preschool experience.
- Familiarity with special education principles, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Proficiency in classroom management, lesson planning, and child development instruction.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of childhood development, literacy education, standardized testing, and Montessori teaching methods is a plus.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred to ensure student safety at all times.
