Join Our Team as a Gymnastics Coach!
Are you passionate about working with children and helping them grow in confidence, skill, and discipline? Do you have a love for gymnastics or a background in physical activities like dance or cheerleading? If so, we’d love to meet you! Our gymnastics school specializes in recreational and competitive Trampoline and Tumbling, serving children from walking age through their teenage years. We’re on the lookout for a long-term enthusiastic and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to join our team and make a positive impact in the lives of our students.
Workweek is M-F afternoon/evenings and Saturdays from 9 to 12 on a 2-month rotation basis.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Gymnastics Coach, you'll play a key role in creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment where students can thrive. Your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching and motivating students in recreational Trampoline and Tumbling programs.
- Following lesson plans and providing clear, encouraging instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Ensuring the safety of all participants by demonstrating and instructing proper physical movements.
- Spotting, assisting, and supervising gymnasts during classes and activities.
- Collaborating with senior coaches and staff to maintain a positive and professional atmosphere.
- Building strong relationships with students, parents, and team members through excellent communication and customer service.
What We're Looking For
We’re seeking individuals who are passionate about teaching and fostering skill development in a positive environment. To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18.
- Prior experience working with or supervising children (e.g., babysitting, camp counselor, assistant coach, etc.).
- A commitment to excellence, teamwork, and customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to demonstrate and instruct basic physical movements safely.
- A positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for working with kids.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to lift, spot, and assist gymnasts as needed.
- Ability to pass a Livescan (DOJ and FBI) background check and complete required training courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous gymnastics experience (as an athlete or coach).
- Knowledge of basic gymnastics terminology and progressions.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
- USA Gymnastics (USAG) Instructor or Safety Certification (or willingness to complete).
- Experience working in a structured youth sports or recreational program.
- Background in gymnastics, dance, cheerleading, or similar physical disciplines.
