Funtastic Gymnastics in Manteca, CA is looking for one gymnastics coach to join our team. We are located at 1475 Moffat Blvd Ste 7, Manteca, CA.
Our ideal candidate is 18 years old, is a self-starter, loves engaging with children and is looking for a long-term position (at least 2 years).
This is a part-time job that will begin with approximately 15-20 hours per week (Monday - Thursday (afternoon/evening) and Saturday mornings on a rotation schedule. Additional hours will be added once trained. This is a great entry level position that can lead to a career with increased responsibilities.

Essential Functions of the Job:
This role is the cornerstone of our program, leading classes for athletes of all ages and skill levels—from tots to intermediate gymnasts. Responsibilities include coaching, tracking progress, communicating with parents, assisting with special events, and maintaining a safe, clean facility. Opportunities for growth include lesson planning, coach training, and leadership in the absence of management with advancement opportunities to promote to Head Coach and ultimately, Program Director.
Required Qualifications

- Minimum age 18.
- Prior experience working with or supervising children (e.g., babysitting, camp counselor, assistant coach, etc.).
- Passionate about teaching, motivating students, and fostering skill development in a positive environment.
- A strong commitment to excellence, teamwork, and customer service is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to demonstrate and instruct basic physical movements safely.
- Positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for working with kids.
- Ability to follow lesson plans and direction from senior coaches.
- Willingness to complete required background check and child safety training.
- Ability to lift, spot, and assist gymnasts as needed.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications

- Previous gymnastics experience (as an athlete or coach).
- Knowledge of basic gymnastics terminology and progressions.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
- USA Gymnastics (USAG) Instructor or Safety Certification (or willingness to complete).
- Experience working in a structured youth sports or recreational program.
- Background in gymnastics, dance, cheerleading, or similar physical disciplines
