Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Overview
Funston Company is looking for a Skilled Operator with experience in operating heavy equipment or the willing to learn. Applicant must be a motivated individual willing to work in a team environment.

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and concrete mixers.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Safely transport materials using dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and front loader trucks.
• Collaborate with construction teams to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
• Follow all safety regulations and protocols while operating machinery on-site.
• Assist in the setup and teardown of construction sites as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance.
• Show up prior to stated start time and be ready to go to work

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a construction environment is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation.
• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is a plus.
• Experience operating various types of machinery including Caterpillar equipment, farm machinery, and tankers is desirable.
• Ability to work long hours in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• A commitment to following safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

• Communicate with supervisors, listen to and comprehend instructions
• Be able to read and understand plans and survey stakes
