The Manager, Graphic Design plays a pivotal role in leading and developing Funko’s in-house design team, driving creative excellence across digital, retail, e-commerce, and social channels. This position bridges creative strategy and execution—overseeing a team of designers, supporting the Art Director in campaign direction, and ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability of all Funko marketing creative. As a player-coach, the Manager, Graphic Design will balance hands-on design work with leadership responsibilities, fostering a collaborative, efficient, and high-performing creative environment that brings the Funko brand to life. What you’ll do:
- Guide and mentor a team of Graphic Designers, providing day-to-day guidance, design feedback, and professional development to elevate creative quality and output.
- Oversee design execution across DTC, retail, paid media, email, and social marketing campaigns—ensuring assets are on-brand, on-brief, and aligned with licensor guidelines.
- Support the Art Director in translating campaign concepts into high-quality creative deliverables while managing timelines, reviews, and approvals.
- Manage creative workflow and resourcing, assigning projects based on team capacity, priorities, and business needs to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Integrated Marketing, eCommerce, Copy, and Photography teams to deliver cohesive, integrated campaigns.
- Maintain and evolve Funko’s brand style guide, templates, and design systems to drive creative consistency and efficiency.
- Champion process improvements, identifying bottlenecks and implementing tools and workflows that enhance productivity and team collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with licensor brand protocols, reviewing and refining creative to meet partner requirements and uphold Funko’s visual standards.
- Stay ahead of design trends and emerging tools, inspiring the team with new ideas and innovations in brand and digital design.

- 7 years of experience in graphic design at an in-house or agency creative environment.
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing creative teams with direct or indirect authority.
- Strong skills in visual design, layout, typography, and brand storytelling across digital and print.
- Expertise in marketing creative for DTC, social, retail, and paid media.
- Experience working with licensed entertainment brands (Disney, Netflix, Warner Bros., etc.) preferred.
- Ability to balance hands-on design with leadership, delegation, and resource management.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to prioritize and pivot in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); knowledge of Figma, After Effects, and project management tools is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in presenting work to creative and cross-functional stakeholders.
Salary : $105,500 - $130,500
