Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to create a warm, welcoming environment for our guests. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests with enthusiasm, and ensuring smooth seating and guest flow. Your positive attitude and excellent communication skills will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor, making them feel valued from the moment they arrive
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Maintain organized waitlists and seating charts to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
• Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information and taking reservations as needed
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth guest flow throughout service hours
• Uphold food safety standards by following proper procedures when handling reservations and guest information
• Assist with guest relations by addressing inquiries, special requests, or concerns in a positive manner

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with restaurant operations
• Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements effectively
• Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal interaction over the phone and in person
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Basic math skills for handling guest counts, reservations, and table allocations accurately
• Experience with POS systems and restaurant table management software is desirable
• A friendly attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding guest services and building positive guest relations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
