What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Psychologist Stockton Corrections 370k/y position at Funk and Associates?
Funk and Associates is seeking relief/contract psychologists to serve at the state correctional facility at Stockton, outpatient and inpatient side. Preferred schedules are 4x10, or 5x8 hour schedules for six months of coverage. The client has had difficulty filling these positions which is adding flexibility in hours and increasing the pay. A minimum schedule of 2x10 is available. Weekend shifts are available for motivated candidates.
This is a forensic facility, and the patients are forensic patients. This is a state facility, the name of which may not be advertised according to the contract. A criminal background check, drug test, and CALPERS affidavit will be part of the hiring process. Doctors currently working in the state prison system will require review and approval for vendor swap. CALPERS positive candidates may need to cash out to be eligible, or consider union/civil service positions rather than relief assignments.
An active license to practice psychology in California is required. The applicant must be authorized to work in the USA.
Funk and Associates is owned by a relief psychiatrist and our goal is to deliver as much of the company's rate to the doctor as possible. As a result, expenses are borne by the candidate, unless alternate arrangements are made. Calling out or inability to complete shifts is subject to a penalty from the client. Additionally for the top rate, the candidate will be paid when FAA is paid, typically 80 days after invoicing. Faster payment is subject to approval and will affect the rate. Advances are negotiable for new hires. One week of orientation is required by the facility and paid at half the patient care rate.
