What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Center Director position at Fundamentals Early Learning Academy?
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Daycare Director to work alongside our current director in leading our licensed childcare center serving children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education, possess strong leadership skills, and ensure compliance with state regulations while fostering a nurturing and engaging environment for children, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the daycare, ensuring a safe, high-quality learning environment.
- Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations and health/safety standards.
- Aid in the implementation of our Experience Early Learning Curriculum and provide supplemental activities.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring professional development and adherence to best practices.
- Manage enrollment, budgeting, and administrative duties.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, children, staff, and the community.
- Address and resolve conflicts or concerns efficiently.
- Monitor and assess program effectiveness, implementing improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field or valid childcare director certification/license as required by state regulations.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in childcare management or a similar leadership role.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, licensing requirements, and best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification and Certified Food Protection Manager license (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work in a fast-paced environment.
