Under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant supports patient/resident well-being, rehabilitation and recovery. Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide professional Occupational Therapy services.
- Completes documentation accurately and timely.
- Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives.
- Works efficiently and effectively whole utilizing facility resources responsibly.
- Maintains adequate and up to date knowledge of Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Services and setting specific clinical and regulatory practices.
- Complies with all facility policies and procedures.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Must have one year experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (geriatric rehabilitation setting preferred)
- Must have current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in facility-specific state
- Must have current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Must have current certification in Basic Life Support.
