Registered Dietitian Nutritionist/Certified Nutrition Specialist

Functional Skin Studio is a skin-focused practice specializing in acne, rosacea, and inflammatory skin conditions using a root-cause, integrative approach. It was created from a deep belief that symptoms deserve answers, not band-aids. I'm building something that I wish already existed regularly in healthcare and wellness, and this is my heart work. I’m looking for someone who truly understands the gut–skin connection and wants consistent, aligned clients without necessarily needing to market themselves.

Licensing:Applicants must hold the following:

Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) OR Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS)

NY State Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN)

Must be legally eligible to provide lab interpretation and medical nutrition therapy in NY

Active license and professional liability insurance required.

Role responsibilities:

Review and interpret functional and conventional lab work (GI testing, hormones, nutrient markers, etc.)

Conduct 1:1 client consults (virtual and/or in person)

Create individualized nutrition and lifestyle protocols

Provide supplement guidance within scope of practice

Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation

Collaborate with esthetician to support skin outcomes

Communicate clearly and professionally with clients

Position structure – two options available:

Option 1: W-2 employee (part-time)

$38–$40/hour depending on experience 5–10 hours/week

Sick time: 1 hour for every 30 worked

Workers’ comp, disability, and paid family leave

CEU stipend and travel with the team to any national wellness conferences we attend after 6 months of employment

Growth opportunities

Employee must maintain individual malpractice insurance

Option 2: Independent contractor (1099)

Revenue split per client Approx. $55–$80/hour

Qualifications:

Active RD/RDN or CNS, NY LDN license

Professional liability insurance

Experience with gut health, acne, inflammatory skin conditions, and hormone balance

Comfortable working with functional labs

Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred (not required):

Functional medicine training (IFM, FDN, or similar)

Private practice experience

Women’s health focus

Experience with food sensitivities, liver issues, histamine issues, or inflammatory conditions
