About Us:Functional Difference, Inc is a therapist owned and operated company. We are a growing pediatric practice providing quality speech and language pathology services in the following counties in North Carolina: Durham, Franklin, Granville, Johnston, Orange, Vance, Wake, Warren. We serve families and children aged birth to 21 providing one-on-one therapy to a variety of clients in diverse settings including: private clinic (in Henderson), community and home-based services. Our population includes children who have ASD, Learning Disabilities, Developmental Delays, Feeding Difficulties, Fluency Disorder, and more. We are looking for an experienced or newly graduated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team!
Duties: The SLP will provide assessments for our pediatric clients ages birth to 21 years. The SLP will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals graded according to the client’s ability and tolerance. The SLP will maintain appropriate documentation and provide parent education. The SLP may be responsible for supervising a SLPA. A minimum caseload of 6 children is required. The SLP’s caseload will be a mixture of clinic, community and school based appointments. As our mission is to ensure those in rural counties receive our much-needed service, staff are required to serve a minimum of 2 children in Franklin, Vance and/or Granville counties.
Qualifications: Must poses a master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy. Must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) credential offered by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Must be licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. Experience working with the pediatric population is preferred but not required. Ability to establish and maintain a courteous and cooperative working relationship with patients, parents, families, and coworkers.
Compensation and Benefits:Will commensurate upon experience and classification of employment, including license and mileage reimbursement. Caseloads are flexible and built based on your experience and availability. Currently looking for part time or full-time staff positions.
