Role Description

We are seeking a Construction Project Manager for a full-time, on-site position based in Westlake Village, CA. As a Construction Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Core responsibilities include coordinating with teams and contractors, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining project schedules. You will play a key role in ensuring the success of our inflatable park installations, working closely with our creative and operations teams.

• Proficiency in construction management software is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of successful project delivery

As we expand corporate locations and franchise developments nationwide, we are looking for an experienced Construction & Development Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of our new builds and remodels.

This role will work directly with our executive team to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously—from early feasibility and bidding through final delivery and opening day.

Position Overview

The Construction & Development Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of FUNBOX location buildouts. This person will manage contractors, architects, engineers, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, on budget, and according to brand standards.

The ideal candidate has experience as a general contractor, construction project manager, or architectural project manager, and understands the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects including bidding, permitting, scheduling, and contractor management.

This role is highly operational and requires someone who can own timelines, solve problems quickly, and keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Pre-Construction

• Coordinate with leadership on project feasibility, budgets, and timelines Manage project kickoff once lease agreements are signed Work with architects and engineers to develop construction drawings Ensure plans meet local building codes and permit requirements Prepare bid packages and scopes of work for contractors Manage the contractor bidding process and evaluate proposals

Construction Management

• Oversee all phases of construction from demolition through final buildout Manage project schedules and ensure milestones are met Coordinate communication between contractors, vendors, and internal teams Conduct site visits and monitor progress Track project budgets and approve invoices and change orders Ensure compliance with FUNBOX construction standards

Vendor & Contractor Management

• Build and maintain a network of reliable contractors and subcontractors Negotiate contracts and pricing Ensure vendors deliver materials and services on time Resolve issues and delays quickly

Franchise Development Support

• Support franchisees with buildout guidance and contractor recommendations Review franchise construction plans for compliance with brand standards Assist franchisees with bidding and construction timelines

Project Closeout

• Manage punch lists and final inspections Ensure permits and certificates of occupancy are obtained Coordinate FF&E installation (arcades, inflatables, signage, lockers, etc.) Prepare locations for operational handoff and grand opening

Required Qualifications

• 5 years experience in commercial construction or development project management Experience as a general contractor, construction PM, architect, or owner’s representative Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and permitting Experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings Experience managing contractor bids and negotiating scopes of work Excellent organizational and project scheduling skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience with family entertainment centers, retail, or hospitality projects Background working with architects and engineers during design developmentFamiliarity with construction project management software (Monday.com, Procore, Buildertrend, etc.) Experience supporting franchise development or multi-unit rollouts

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 per year (based on experience) Performance bonuses tied to project delivery and cost savings Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding national brand
