About the Role
We're seeking a caring and dependable Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work alongside our Occupational Therapists in providing fun, meaningful, and effective therapy for children. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, collaboration, and making a real difference in kids' lives.
What You'll Do
- Implement treatment plans created by the supervising OT
- Support children during therapy activities that build regulation, skills, and independence
- Observe and share progress or concerns with the OT
- Complete documentation accurately and on time
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and engaging therapy space
- Communicate professionally with the therapy team and families
What We're Looking For
- Active Connecticut COTA license
- Graduate of an accredited OTA program
- Pediatric experience preferred (newer grads welcome)
- Understanding of child development, sensory processing, and autism support
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable with digital documentation (EMR)
- Flexible, reliable, and open to feedback
- Someone licensed and ready to treat patients with minimal coaching
