Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of our practice
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently to optimize workflow
- Collect payments and perform medical billing and collections with accuracy and professionalism
- Utilize computer software to schedule appointments, process patient visits, and maintain inventory
- Answer phone inquiries promptly, providing clear information about services and procedures
- Assist with animal handling tasks such as restraint or animal handling when necessary
- Maintain detailed patient records, including medical history, treatments, and laboratory results
- Facilitate communication between pet owners and veterinary team regarding pet care instructions or follow-up needs
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of reception area
Experience
Candidates should possess prior experience in a veterinary or animal care setting, demonstrating familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal husbandry, and pet care procedures. Experience in medical collections, laboratory work, or critical care environments is highly valued. Computer literacy is required for this job. Candidates should have a working knowledge of inventory management. Candidates must understand that references will be contacted. Candidates must possess a high degree of professional integrity and personal financial reliability.
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
