The Office of the Fulton County Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts serve the citizens of Fulton County by maintaining and providing access to court and public records and by supporting court operations across Superior and Magistrate Courts. The office plays a critical role in the administration of justice and public trust, supporting judges, justice partners, attorneys, and the public through accurate recordkeeping, responsive service, and operational excellence.

Position Summary

The Court Project Manager provides professional project coordination, executive-level documentation, and leadership follow-through support for priority initiatives across the Clerk’s Office. This role ensures projects, leadership action items, and time-sensitive deliverables move forward on schedule, with accurate information compiled into polished, executive-ready materials.

The position requires independent judgment, discretion, advanced writing skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex and politically sensitive environment. The role relies on the effective use of project management and information systems, including Monday.com, internal SharePoint resources, and official Clerk and court websites, to track work, validate information, and support leadership decision-making. Work is reviewed primarily for results and outcomes rather than process.


Level and Complexity of Work

  • Performs professional-level work requiring independent judgment and discretion
  • Independently plans, organizes, and executes assigned work within established objectives
  • Routinely handles sensitive and confidential information
  • Coordinates across multiple leadership levels and stakeholders with competing priorities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project and Priority Management

  • Coordinates assigned court initiatives, special projects, and leadership priorities from intake through completion
  • Use established project management tools, including Monday.com, to track tasks, deadlines, ownership, dependencies, and risks
  • Maintains action-item tracking and follow-through systems to support accountability and timely completion
  • Identifies schedule slippage, incomplete inputs, or conflicting priorities and initiates follow-up or escalation as appropriate

Executive-Level Reporting and Documentation

  • Compiles, validates, synthesizes, and formats information into executive-ready reports, briefs, and leadership updates
  • Produces polished monthly reports, summaries, and briefing materials that reflect a high professional standard
  • Builds and maintains repeatable templates and reporting formats to improve consistency and efficiency
  • Prepares meeting materials, pre-reads, agendas, and post-meeting action summaries
  • Ensures accuracy and attention to detail, recognizing that errors may impact leadership decisions or public-facing information

Leadership Coordination and Follow-Through

  • Supports cross-functional communication by ensuring information is accurate, timely, and appropriately presented for leadership audiences
  • Coordinates reminders, updates, and follow-ups in a professional manner that maintains momentum and trust
  • Tracks leadership commitments and ensures deliverables are ready for executive review by established deadlines

Knowledge Management and Information Validation

  • Reviews and leverages internal SharePoint resources to locate policies, procedures, project documentation, and reference materials
  • Uses official Clerk and court websites to verify public-facing information, deadlines, and services when preparing reports or responses
  • Ensures executive deliverables are based on accurate, current, and authoritative sources

Executive Workflow Support

  • Supports executive workflow by managing priorities related to meeting preparation, deliverable sequencing, and follow-through
  • Captures decisions, assigns ownership, and tracks next steps to completion

Operational Continuity Support

  • Provides targeted operational support during critical periods to ensure continuity of priority initiatives
  • Assists with time-sensitive assignments and special projects as directed by court leadership
  • Supports cross-departmental functions as needed, to meet operational and departmental needs

Confidentiality and Professional Judgment

  • Handles sensitive and confidential information in compliance with all County policies related to ethics, confidentiality, and professional conduct
  • Maintains professional boundaries and objectivity while working closely with leadership and staff
  • Exercises sound judgment in politically sensitive situations and escalations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications, Project Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • At least three (3) years of experience in project coordination, executive operations support, program support, or a similar role requiring independent judgment and confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in courts, government, legal environments, or other highly regulated organizations
  • Experience supporting executive leadership through reporting, briefing, or project tracking
  • Working knowledge of Monday.com, SharePoint, or comparable project and document management platforms
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a professional office environment with frequent interaction across leadership levels. The position may require flexibility in work schedule to meet critical deadlines and support time-sensitive initiatives.

Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, fingering, lifting, and carrying. Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
