Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician/Cashier to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional patient service, assisting with medication dispensing, and supporting pharmacy operations in a fast-paced medical environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail pharmacy, either as a certified pharmacy technician or in customer service. Duties
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management
- Process patient transactions accurately at the cashier station
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions and phone calls
- Support intake procedures for new patients, verifying insurance and prescription details
- Be able to navigate pharmacy software systems
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure timely medication delivery and patient care
Qualifications Preferred
- Prior pharmacy technician experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and IV infusion procedures
- Strong patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care and communication
- Ability to handle intake procedures efficiently and accurately process transactions as a cashier
- Certification as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training or internship experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
