Job Purpose
The Safety Loss Prevention Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Loss Prevention and Safety operations within the distribution center. This position ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards, and security procedures while supporting operational goals and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees. The Supervisor will lead Loss Prevention initiatives, assist with investigations, monitor inventory protection processes, and support safety programs throughout the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise daily Loss Prevention and Safety operations within the distribution center.
- Assist in implementing and enforcing Loss Prevention and workplace safety programs.
- Monitor compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and safety procedures.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and identify potential safety or security risks.
- Investigate incidents involving theft, product loss, accidents, injuries, and policy violations.
- Partner with operations and inventory teams to minimize shrink and inventory discrepancies.
- Review records and reports for accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
- Support and coordinate special inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Prepare work schedules and assign daily responsibilities to team members.
- Provide written and verbal instructions to employees regarding safety and security practices.
- Train employees on theft prevention, workplace safety, emergency procedures, and incident reporting.
- Ensure all incidents and investigations are properly documented and reported.
- Respond to and assist with workplace emergencies and criminal activity when necessary.
- Address employee concerns, complaints, and operational issues in a professional manner.
- Maintain knowledge of current Loss Prevention technology, surveillance systems, and reporting tools.
- Work closely with management to improve operational efficiency and reduce safety risks.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Loss Prevention, Safety, Security, or Distribution Center operations preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and Loss Prevention procedures.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems, reporting software, and basic computer applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive situations.
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
