Schedule:Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:30 PM (Occasional overtime) Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D, PSL The Client is seeking a detail-drivenR&D Data Control Assistantto support our Research & Development team by capturing, validating, and maintaining accurate formulation and product data. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all recipes, specifications, and trial documentation are organized, accurate, and audit-ready. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and has a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.Key ResponsibilitiesEnter and maintain recipes, formulations, batch sheets, and product specification dataManage version control, standard naming conventions, and document archivesCapture allergen, nutritional, and labeling data; assist with label creation as directedDocument pilot trials, including yields, times/temps, deviations, and supporting photos/scansValidate data accuracy through routine spot checks and reconciliationsUpdate ingredient and packaging costs; support cost summaries and variance trackingMaintain organized digital folders and follow document-control SOPsPrepare data packets and basic reports for leadership and cross-functional teamsSupport the R&D Supervisor with presentations, trial preparations, and customer-facing materialsEnsure all data aligns with GMP, HACCP, and internal compliance requirementsMinimum Qualifications1 year of experience in data entry, documentation, or administrative support (food/CPG preferred)Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filters, data validation, pivot tables)High accuracy, strong typing speed, and excellent attention to detailAbility to read and understand formulations, weights/measures, and basic process specsClear, effective communication and consistent follow-throughPreferred QualificationsExperience with ERP/PLM systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) or document control environmentsFamiliarity with GMPs, HACCP, allergens, and traceabilityExperience with nutrition or labeling tools is a plusBilingual English/Spanish preferredHighly organized, fast-paced, and proactive with strong ownershipWork EnvironmentOffice and production floor exposureRequires use of PPE (hairnet, gloves, smock, etc.)Ability to work in cold room environments during trialsOn-site role supporting hands-on data capture and collaboration with R&D and ProductionFull Steam Staffing will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act.
