Production Supervisor (Kitchen)

We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Production Supervisor to oversee daily food production operations within a large-scale food distribution facility. This position is responsible for supervising production employees, maintaining food quality and safety standards, ensuring production goals are met, and supporting efficient kitchen operations.

Location: Hartford, CT

Pay: $47,500 – $52,500 per year

• Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen and food production activities.
• Lead, train, and monitor production employees to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
• Ensure food is prepared, portioned, packaged, and handled according to established specifications.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the production process and address issues as needed.
• Monitor inventory, ingredients, supplies, and production materials.
• Maintain accurate production records, logs, and reports.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and assigning daily production tasks.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, and production processes.
• Address employee performance, attendance, and operational concerns in a timely manner.
• Work closely with management and other departments to meet production and distribution needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.

• Previous supervisory or lead experience in food production, commercial kitchens, food manufacturing, or food distribution.
• Experience working in a high-volume food production environment strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality control practices.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse production team.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, food distribution center, or large-scale production facility is a plus.
