Shift: 5:30 AM - 2 PM Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D, PSL Job SummaryThe Mixer is responsible for accurately preparing and blending food products according to established formulas and production schedules. This role ensures all ingredients meet quality specifications while maintaining compliance with safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The ideal candidate has experience in food manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 1 year of experience in food manufacturing or food processingBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication); ability to use a calculatorAbility to read thermometers, gauges, and meters and adjust equipment as neededProficient in English (speaking, reading, and writing); Spanish is a plusSkills & CompetenciesVerbal and written communicationReading comprehension and active listeningProblem-solving and decision-makingCoordination and multitasking abilitiesService-oriented mindsetStrong attention to detail and accuracyCore Functions & DutiesObtain daily mixing sheets from the Lead PersonInspect mixing equipment, tanks, and pipes to ensure cleanliness and proper sanitationInspect oil, water, and vinegar lines and pumps to confirm proper connectionsVerify availability of ingredients and ensure correct raw materials, weights, and specifications (e.g., organic, non-GMO, brand, color)Accurately pour ingredients into mixing tanks following exact proceduresOperate valves to allow measured amounts of liquids into mixing tanksMonitor agitation and mixing processes to ensure thorough blendingObserve equipment operation and make adjustments as neededReport equipment malfunctions to the Lead Person or SupervisorSubmit product samples to Quality Control for chemical analysisReport any out-of-spec results, shortages, spills, holds, or work-in-process (WIP) issuesDocument all changes, adjustments, and production activitiesCompare product samples to standards to ensure proper color and textureCoordinate with the filling department prior to transferring finished productMaintain a clean and organized work area and follow all GMPsParticipate in sanitation of production lines as neededPerform all other duties as assignedWork EnvironmentFast-paced food manufacturing settingExposure to food ingredients, machinery, and production equipmentMust be able to follow safety, quality, and sanitation standards at all timesFull Steam Staffing will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act.
