Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Pay Rate: $18/hr.
Shift: 1st
Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D, PSL
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pay vendor invoices by verifying transaction information.
- Schedule and prepare disbursements for timely payment.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Processes invoices on a daily basis, making sure that the appropriate approval process is followed.
- Secures approval from managers for invoices with any variances.
- Accurately codes invoices.
- Inputs, and reviews for accuracy, the payable vouchers on a daily basis.
- Provides checks to designees for signature.
- Ensure checks and remittances are prepared for mailing on a timely basis.
- Completes filing of office documentation in accurate and timely manner.
- Communicates with vendors, including but not limited to, reconciliation of payment and invoice discrepancies, provision of credit information, and securing W-9 forms as needed.
- Maintains appropriate vendor files.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of accounts payable.
- Fundamental understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel and accounting software.
- Attention to detail, highly organized, strong work ethic, demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, strong communication skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Requires good time management skills and good communication skills.
