What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator position at FULLERTON ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS INC?
Purpose of the Position: The Project Coordinator will directly support Project Manager(s), create/maintain/execute document controls (digital or physical), oversee database management and track customer deliverables. Included and not limited to these tasks: assist in the development and/or improvement of project processes and other given administration tasks as assigned by, or to assist the Project Manager(s).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administrative Tasks: Responsible for the request of project creation, tracking and monitoring of project deliverables, PO/VPO requests, dates, and deadlines. Plan and coordinate project scheduling, budgeting, and administrative tasks in Fullerton and customer systems.
- Coordination & Support: Provide project and data controls support for projects across the construction organization for Fullerton.
- Communication: Create and distribute correspondence relative to the team, project, and program for both internal and external distribution.
- Data Integrity: Update necessary tracking systems to ensure that project and program status is maintained with complete accuracy. Provide regular and timely reports highlighting variances.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain accurate and complete files for projects and programs. Assist in the creation of bid documents, cost analyses, and purchase order requests.
- Project Management Assistance: Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies Required
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in general business environment with project coordination and/or administrative experience; wireless telecom, OSP, or utility industry experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational, time management, administrative, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills / Must be able to document and present work in a clear and concise manner / Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects / Ability to follow instructions, respond to management directions, take responsibility for own actions, commit to work additional hours, if necessary, to reach goals/complete tasks on time / Comfortable in a self-directed environment
Computer Equipment and Software Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
- Sitetracker experience and project management software knowledge a plus.
