POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District is seeking qualified individuals for the Expanded Learning Lead Instructional Assistant opening. Under general direction, will assist in the organization, implementation, and lead responsibilities of the expanded learning program for school-age children. Primary will assist Site Coord. with site program planning and organization, student supervision, and provide direction to instructional assistant staff when the coordinator is off-campus. The staff assigned to this program work directly with the students in instructional and recreational activities. HOURS OF WORK: The After School Program has set hours depending on the school site, but can be scheduled between the hours of 1 PM and 6:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Applicants MUST be available to work the posted hours Monday through Friday. Position can work 4-5 hrs/day (20-25 hours/week), 10-months/year with paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation. The District offers employees assigned to work 20 hours/week a comprehensive prorated benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education: Any combination equivalent to two years of college-level coursework at an accredited college. Emphasis in child development, education, or related field desirable. NOTE: Attach a complete and legible copy of college transcripts and/or degree to their online application. Failure to include the required documentation will result in the applicant being required to take and pass the Instructional Assistant ESSA exam. Experience: Two years related paid experience preferred. Child development permit desirable. RECRUITMENT PROCEDURES
This will be a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. Applications will be accepted from all qualified individuals.
The recruitment examinations may consist of written, performance and/or oral examinations. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination.
Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be one year. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill current and future vacancies.
Date of Examination
The date of the examination(s) will be announced at a later date. Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified by email, or in writing and/or telephone of the time, date and place of the examination(s).
