POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District is seeking qualified individuals for the part-time Expanded Learning Lead Instructional Assistant position. Under the direction of Site Coordinator, this position assists with the daily operation of the after-school program, including student supervision, activity support, program organization, and site coordination. Staff work directly with students in instructional and recreational activities and provide direction to instructional assistant staff when the coordinator is off-campus. This position can work 4-5 hours/day (20-25 hours/week), 10-months/school year. Daily hours vary per school site, but typically work between the hours of 1 PM and 6:30 PM M-F. Applicants MUST be available to work the posted hours. For positions working 20 hours, the district offers a comprehensive prorated benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance with paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education: Any combination equivalent to two years of college-level coursework at an accredited college. Emphasis in child development, education, or related field desirable. NOTE: Attach a complete and legible copy of college transcripts and/or degree to their online application. Failure to include the required documentation will result in the applicant being required to take and pass the Instructional Assistant ESSA exam. Experience: Two years related paid experience preferred. Child development permit desirable. RECRUITMENT PROCEDURES
This will be a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. Applications will be accepted from all qualified individuals.
The recruitment examinations may consist of written, performance and/or oral examinations. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination.
Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be one year. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill current and future vacancies.
Date of Examination
The date of the examination(s) will be announced at a later date. Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified by email, or in writing and/or telephone of the time, date and place of the examination(s).
