This is a full-time on-site position for a Horticulture Instructor located at our campus in Fullerton, CA. The Horticulture Instructor will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging curriculum, teaching courses on various aspects of horticulture, and assessing student performance. The role includes managing plant collections, maintaining learning gardens, and integrating hands-on activities into teaching. Additional responsibilities include advising students, contributing to faculty committees, and staying informed of developments in horticulture and educational methodologies.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Strong knowledge in horticulture, plant science, landscaping, sustainable practices, and related areas.
- Teaching Skills: Proficiency in instructional methods, lesson planning, curriculum development, and student assessment.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with modern horticultural tools, equipment, and techniques for hands-on applications in an educational setting.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, mentor students, and collaborate with colleagues across disciplines.
