Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to ensure healthy and attractive lawns and gardens
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as excavators safely and efficiently for construction or landscape installation projects
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, planting, and removal with proper techniques to ensure safety and growth
- Maintain hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures with precision craftsmanship
- Assist with snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access for clients and visitors
- Support landscaping projects by preparing soil, planting flowers or shrubs, installing mulch or gravel, and maintaining overall site cleanliness
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in landscaping, horticulture, or groundskeeping is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential
- Mechanical knowledge related to lawn care equipment, power tools, hand tools, and construction machinery such as excavators
- Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control techniques
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and operating equipment
- Knowledge of tree care practices such as trimming, pruning, planting or removal in accordance with safety standards
- Strong attention to detail along with excellent communication skills for teamwork and client interactions
- Valid driver’s license is advantageous; certification in equipment operation or landscape maintenance is a plus
