What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Assistant position at Fuller Physical Therapy?
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential according to HIPPA guidelines.
- Assists patients during physical therapy treatment by answering questions and requests in a timely manner, as well as, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment that is conducive for rehabilitation and recovery.
- Helps treat patients by assisting them onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion; tracking patient exercise progress according to their flowsheet; measuring mobility; performing prescribed exercises and strengthening activities as indicated in the Plan of Care.
- Provides all relevant information to supervising Physical Therapist on patient progress and treatment tolerance by utilizing the SOAP note. Communicates effectively with PT supportive personal (Office Asst., PT Technician, etc).
- Educates patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise form.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in our mandatory staff training that is given annually, seeking out other additional educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Helps office assistants by answering phone calls or scheduling patients when they have stepped away from the desk temporarily.
- Upholds all rules and regulations as defined in the Kentucky State Physical Therapy Practice Act.
- Be responsible for supervising physical therapy technicians and being responsible for their technician notes.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
