Drafting Technician

Position Summary

Fuller Architectural Hardwoods is seeking a Drafting Technician to create accurate shop drawings and manufacturing documentation for custom cabinetry, millwork, countertops, and architectural wood products. This role works closely with project managers, engineering, and production teams to ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed shop drawings and production documentation from architectural plans and project specifications
• Prepare material lists and manufacturing-ready layouts for production
• Review and interpret construction and architectural drawings
• Coordinate with project managers and production staff to resolve design and production questions
• Maintain drawing revisions and project documentation
• Ensure drawings meet company quality standards and customer requirements

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or certification in drafting, engineering, or related field preferred but equivalent work experience will be considered in place of formal education.

Experience

• Proficiency in CAD or similar drafting software required
• Knowledge of millwork, cabinetry, or similar fields is a significant advantage

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and project management tools
• Ability to read and interpret construction and architectural drawings
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
