POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Reliability Supervisor is responsible for leading the maintenance reliability function for FULLBEAUTY Brands' Indiana distribution facilities. This position provides operational leadership for preventive and predictive maintenance programs, equipment reliability, CMMS administration, maintenance planning, and building services to maximize equipment availability and support business objectives.


Reporting to the Manager, Building Services, this position exercises independent judgment in establishing maintenance priorities, allocating resources, supervising assigned personnel, and implementing maintenance strategies that improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize asset performance. The Maintenance Reliability Supervisor partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, vendors, and contractors to drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.


Our Indiana distribution facilities operate 24 hours per day, five days per week, encompassing approximately 750,000 square feet and supporting highly automated material handling systems including conveyor networks, sortation systems, robotics, automated bagging equipment, printers, and critical facility infrastructure.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


Leadership & Department Management

  • Direct the day-to-day maintenance reliability activities supporting the Indiana distribution facilities. 
  • Supervise assigned maintenance and housekeeping personnel by establishing work priorities, assigning daily activities, monitoring productivity, and ensuring completion of departmental objectives. 
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, and employee development to improve individual and team performance. 
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, performance evaluations, corrective action, promotions, and termination recommendations. 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, environmental regulations, and maintenance safety standards. 
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence. 


Maintenance Reliability & Asset Management

  • Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance strategies that maximize equipment reliability and minimize operational downtime. 
  • Establish maintenance priorities based on equipment criticality, production demands, operational risk, and available resources. 
  • Lead reliability initiatives utilizing equipment history, maintenance metrics, and failure analysis to improve asset performance. 
  • Analyze recurring equipment failures and develop corrective action plans to eliminate root causes. 
  • Evaluate maintenance effectiveness through key performance indicators including equipment availability, PM compliance, Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), backlog, and asset utilization. 
  • Recommend capital improvements and equipment replacement strategies based on asset performance and lifecycle analysis. 


Maintenance Planning & CMMS Administration

  • Direct administration of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring data integrity, asset hierarchy accuracy, preventive maintenance scheduling, and reporting effectiveness. 
  • Establish standards for work order management, preventive maintenance programs, failure coding, and asset documentation. 
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, improve planning effectiveness, and support operational decision-making. 
  • Develop maintenance schedules that balance equipment reliability with operational production requirements. 
  • Ensure maintenance documentation supports regulatory compliance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. 


Financial & Inventory Management

  • Assist with development and management of departmental operating and capital budgets. 
  • Monitor maintenance expenditures and recommend cost-effective solutions that improve equipment performance. 
  • Develop inventory strategies for critical spare parts while balancing equipment availability and inventory investment. 
  • Evaluate vendor performance and participate in supplier selection, contract management, and service evaluations. 
  • Support procurement activities for maintenance materials, equipment, and contracted services. 


Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Operations leadership to establish maintenance priorities that support business objectives. 
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Safety, and external contractors on maintenance projects and facility improvements. 
  • Lead maintenance readiness activities supporting peak operational periods. 
  • Present maintenance performance metrics and recommendations to departmental leadership. 
  • Recommend operational improvements that enhance productivity, reduce costs, improve safety, and increase equipment reliability.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Business, or a related field preferred. 
  • Five (5) or more years of progressive maintenance, facilities, reliability, or industrial operations experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or automated material handling environment. 
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. 
  • Demonstrated experience administering CMMS software and preventive maintenance programs. 
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, conveyor, sortation, robotics, and facility systems. 
  • Experience utilizing maintenance metrics and reliability analysis to drive operational improvements. 
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS reporting applications. 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) 
  • Experience supporting automated distribution centers or e-commerce fulfillment operations. 
  • Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement methodologies. 
  • Experience managing maintenance contractors and capital improvement projects.
