Full Time Rotating Shifts
This Position reports to the Supervisor-Pharmacy Automation Systems and fulfills all standard duties of a pharmacy technician, with the following additional responsibilities: Serve as the primary pharmacy technician resource for blister packaging automation technologies and centralized compliance packaging operations. Maintain, replenish, and operate multiple compliance packaging automated dispensing systems according to manufacturer guidelines and established inventory protocols. Perform routine troubleshooting on compliance packaging automation, escalating issues as appropriate. Manage and update drug files and configuration settings within compliance packaging dispensing systems to ensure accurate and safe medication delivery. Communicates with the compliance packaging clinical team to ensure accurate production files and proper execution of packaging changes. Collaborate with onsite and remote pharmacists and technicians to meet productivity and accuracy targets tied to automation operations. Ensure automation processes align with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory standards for medication dispensing. Operates and masters centralized compliance packaging technologies, including blister packaging, bulk dispensing, packing, and shipping systems, with full rotation across all stations to ensure efficiency and redundancy. Assist with onboarding and training of team members on use of compliance packaging automation.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Requires high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Requires at least two (2) years of experience as an inpatient pharmacy technician (for inpatient setting) OR two (2) years of experience as a pharmacy technician for all others.
- Two (2) years of experience with automated pharmacy dispensing systems preferred.
- PC skills as needed to perform job functions as assigned.
- Strong verbal/written skills; availability for on-call system support; highly analytical ability to solve complex technical problems. • Ability to work designated shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with established time constraints.
- Flexibility to deal with ever-changing health care environment.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Valid State of MI pharmacy technician licensure required.
