Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Industrial Sandblaster to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing metal and other surfaces by cleaning, smoothing, and finishing through high-pressure abrasive blasting techniques. Duties
- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting, coating, or fabrication.
- Set up and adjust abrasive blasting machines according to project specifications and surface requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to inspect surfaces for quality control.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts, and other warehouse equipment to transport parts and supplies.
- Perform maintenance on sandblasting machinery and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with surface preparation tasks such as masking, grinding, or repair as needed.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during abrasive blasting operations.
Requirements
- Experience preferred but not required with industrial sandblasting or surface preparation techniques in manufacturing or construction settings.
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with welding, fabrication, auto painting, auto body repair, and industrial painting processes.
- Ability to operate forklifts, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of materials handling procedures within warehouse environments.
