We're seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join Full Smile Orthodontics! The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to grow into a leadership role while supporting both our clinical and front office teams.
Our Orthodontic Assistants play an important role in delivering exceptional patient experiences by providing thorough patient care, effective communication, and personal attention in a gentle, supportive manner. This role will be cross-trained to support both chairside orthodontic assisting and front desk responsibilities, helping ensure smooth daily clinic operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting providers with orthodontic procedures and patient care
- Preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments
- Updating patient records and maintaining accurate documentation
- Educating patients and families on treatment and oral care instructions
- Supporting patient flow and maintaining an organized clinical environment
- Scheduling appointments and assisting with intake paperwork
- Greeting and assisting patients as needed at the front desk
- Collaborating with team members to ensure a seamless patient experience
- Demonstrating leadership qualities and supporting team efficiency and communication
Your work helps create an environment where patients feel comfortable, supported, and confident in their orthodontic care.
Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 8:00AM - 5:00PM
(Friday schedules vary according to patient schedule)
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions (RDAEF) from an accredited program
- Current CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous orthodontic assisting experience is a strong plus
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
- Leadership mindset with the ability to guide and support team members
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and staff
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a positive, solution-focused attitude
