We're seeking a dedicated Billing Specialist to join Full Smile Management! The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service for both patients and providers.
The Dental Billing Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of dental billing and insurance follow-up. This position works closely with insurance carriers, patients, and internal team members to ensure timely claim submission, accurate payment posting, and resolution of billing issues. Responsibilities include:
- Process patient and insurance payments, including paper checks, credit cards, and ERA payments
- Understand and effectively manage ERA workflows across multiple insurance carriers
- Review weekly insurance aging and accounts receivable reports; follow up on unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims
- Submit corrections, appeals, and resubmissions as needed
- Conduct follow-up calls with insurance carriers and patients to resolve payment issues
- Review explanations of benefits (EOBs), patient histories, and contracts to ensure accurate reimbursement and discounts
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, rejected claims, and system errors
- Process insurance and patient refunds, disputes, and escalated billing concerns
- Make accurate account adjustments while maintaining compliance and documentation standards
- Ensure all billing practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain strict confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all matters
- Support team members and assist with additional duties as assigned

Full-Time | Monday - Thursday 8:00AM - 5:00PM | Friday - 8:00AM - 12:00PM
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous dental billing or insurance experience preferred (training provided for the right candidate)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Bilingual abilities preferred
