We are growing and looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant who can also add to our front office team as well. The ideal candidate will provide clinical and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the medical facility. They will assist in patient care management, execute administrative and clinical procedures, and ensure a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Record patient information, including medical histories and vital signs.
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by a physician.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and operate medical equipment.
- Manage patient appointments, scheduling, and follow-ups.
- Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the healthcare provider.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Perform clerical duties, including filing, answering phones, and handling correspondence.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited medical assistant program preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a medical assistant or in a similar role.
- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a clinical setting with frequent interaction with patients.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Exposure to infectious diseases and bodily fluids may occur.
